Online Session: Lime Treatment of Faecal Sludge Guidelines (Feb. 27)

Join us for a dynamic online session on Thursday, February 27, 2025 (10am GMT) as we dive into the latest Lime Treatment Guidelines for faecal sludge management for humanitarian contexts published by the Geneva Technical Hub (GTH), Oxfam and Eawag. Lime treatment can be key in improving public health in acute humanitarian contexts. Through this session, we will familiarize you with best practices for optimal use of lime for faecal sludge treatment.

The session will also showcase emerging new findings from a project supported by Elrha’s Humanitarian Innovation Fund, which piloted an innovative approach to assess the effectiveness of lime treatment on faecal sludge in a refugee settlement in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Led by the University of Brighton, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and BRAC, their innovation offers the humanitarian community an off-the-shelf solution that could be deployed during the onset of a crisis.

Don’t miss out!

This public webinar is a collaborative effort of the Geneva Technical Hub, Eawag, the Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF) and the Humanitarian Sanitation Hub (SANIHUB).

We look forward to your participation!
