The implementation cost of aerobic digestion can be high and vary depending on several factors, such as the availability and cost of construction materials and electricity or fuel costs. According to the Arup study, the Capital Expenditure (CapEx) for installing 1 m3 of capacity in Cox’s Bazar was 1,365 USD (27,300 USD for 20 m3/d), and the Operating Expenditure (OpEx) was 10,000 USD per year for labour, generator fuel, or 1.37 USD per m3 treated.
