The Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) series “Sanitation, Water and Solid Waste for Development” is an open-access, full-fledged eLearning programme of Eawag (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology) and EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). It consists of four courses, including: (1) Municipal Solid Waste Management in Developing Countries, (2) Planning and Design of Sanitation Systems and Technologies, (3) Introduction to Household Water Treatment and Safe Storage and (4) Introduction to Faecal Sludge Management. So far it has reached a global audience of almost 200’000 learners.

The MOOC “Introduction to Public Health Engineering in Humanitarian Contexts” has been produced in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). You can find further information and register on the Coursera course page or watch the videos via YouTube.
