Marij Zwart

Marij Zwart is trained as a civil engineer, and specialized in sanitation and waste water treatment. She has over 5 years of practical experience in the humanitarian sector, as a sanitation engineer, a WASH cluster coordinator and currently as a global advisor based at headquarters. Before becoming a humanitarian, she worked with a Dutch Water and Sanitation utility. She is a guest lecturer in emergency sanitation at IHE Delft. Since 2020, she coordinates the Global WASH Cluster Technical Working Group on Faecal Sludge Management (FSM TWiG) and as such coordinates and provides remote support to WASH practitioners facing sanitation issues.
