Global and Regional Costs of Achieving Universal Access to Sanitation to Meet SDG Target 6.2
Author: UNICEF
Year: 2020
To achieve universal sanitation, as covered in Target 6.2 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), one important piece of information to know is how much investment will be required to achieve it – how much is needed, where it is needed, and when it is needed. As progress is made towards the SDG targets, new estimates are needed to assess what is the current funding gap and also to support advocacy efforts to fill the gap. This study provides an update on the required expenditure to meet the 2030 global targets on household sanitation.
